A small thought

About flash fiction…

Just discovered an amazing writer after reading an article in The Guardian about Flash Fiction Day this Wednesday, 16th May. The piece is by David Gaffney and it’s brilliant. But not as brilliant as his website which is fucking amazingly brilliant. I’m utterly smitten.

And SO inspired.

Please check him out and READ THE STORIES. They’re crazy, weird, sad, disturbing, surreal… and some are cry out loud in hysterics funny.

I’m off to buy his anthologies fron Salt Publishing right bloody now this minute.

Lindsay, there are lots of blogs which come and go, yours has catapaulted itself into the unmissable category in just a few short months. Whether it is your road trip which was part Stephen Fry, part Hunter Thompson, the perils of international fraud, or the simple joys of having young adults around who were children, seemingly, only yesterday, your ability to shed light on universla truths, with a smile, is a delight!

    Hi Lindsay

I read Gaffney’s collection, ‘Sawn-off Tales’ a little while back. It’s very good, and it’s published by Salt who publish some wonderful books.

    Regards

    Richard
